Welcome to our
beautiful traditional Gascon farmhouse. Situated on the edge of the
peaceful, rural hamlet of Pouydraguin on a ridge with breath-taking
far-reaching views to the Pyrenees, Farguet is an 18th century stone farmhouse
surrounded by the spectacular rolling hills of the Gers countryside.
The farmhouse is
tastefully but simply furnished and retains its traditional charm with
terracotta and timber floors, imposing central staircase and oak beams. It
sleeps a maximum of 9 plus a cot, in a double bedroom, a family room and two twin-bedded
rooms. There is a spacious eat-in kitchen opening onto a large south-facing
terrace with outside eating area, and a comfortable sitting room with a
detached property is set in private grounds of 5.5 acres with extensive lawned
areas and terraces, and a secure 12 x 6m pool, making it an ideal location for
your family holiday. With two large woodburning stoves to keep you snug in
cooler evenings and very reasonable rates off season, it is also perfect for
couples or smaller groups.
